Honeywell tasked Wakefield Research with conducting the survey, which ran from April 22 to May 2, 2024, and featured 1,600 executives in 12 countries. Each executive led a company of at least 1,000 employees and used artificial intelligence to automate tasks and processes.
How AI Benefits Decision-Makers
Approximately 64% of those surveyed listed productivity gains and efficiency as the most significant benefits of using artificial intelligence in industrial settings. Additionally, 60% reported improved threat detection and cybersecurity, and 59% claimed that real-time data generation had helped decision-making.
Other factors positively impacted by artificial intelligence included work flexibility (49%), job satisfaction (45%), more time for creative thinking and development (44%), and workplace safety (39%).
